PERSONAL INTERVIEW

INTERVIEWER: Why do you believe you will be an asset to a program?
LIAM: I think I will be an asset to a program because I have the work ethic on the field; I work hard and have fun. Another thing, I will do whatever it takes in an appropriate way to be the best that I can be. I think that I have a lot to offer a team.

INTERVIEWER: Why do you like the game of football?
LIAM: It is like no other sport. It is the biggest team sport there is. You need a special group of guys to be able to play this game. It is the most exciting sport there is!

INTERVIEWER: Who inspires you?
LIAM: My parents inspire me. The work that they put into parenting, I hope when I grow up that I can give my kids the same opportunity that my parents gave me. They have always been behind me and my dreams. I am so blessed to have them in my life.

INTERVIEWER: What motivates you?
LIAM: My whole family motivates me. When I first started playing football I felt like quitting because I was not very good, but my family pushed me and I am so glad they did. They have told me from a young age that I should play football. I would never had played if it was not for them motivating me. Even if it be a tough loss or a big win I know they will be behind me.

INTERVIEWER: What do you plan to major in college?
LIAM: I would like to major in physical education.

INTERVIEWER: What is/are your future goal(s) in life?
LIAM: I would love to go as far as I can in football. I want to play through college and hopefully, maybe the NFL. Then I would love to coach football.

INTERVIEWER: What do you think are your strongest assets both on and off the field?
LIAM: My character, if you came to visit my campus and ask around about me people will say they know me and love me. I work hard, and I will do anything for a friend. That transfers onto the field too. I love all of my teammates like my family.

INTERVIEWER: How well do you think you perform under pressure? And how well do you think you handle stress?
LIAM: I perform great under pressure; I love pressure because if there is pressure that means something big is going to happen, and that’s when I play my best. Stress is something I deal with all the time. I learned to deal with it pretty well. I do not dwell on things that I cannot control.

INTERVIEWER: How have you handled being away from home and living on your own?
LIAM: Being by myself has been hard. Family is a big thing for me, but I knew this would help me get ready for college. The football team has become like a family away from home which helped me make it through the transition. I got used to it fairly quickly.
